Social Media Content Creation
What I Do
In my current position as the Digital Marketing and Social Media Associate with The Market Social, I am in charge of developing and regularly posting content for 35 different clients. I create graphic designs, edit pictures and videos, develop unique captions, research and provide the top hashtags that relate to the topic of each post, and schedule each post to be posted at the best times in accordance with each client's unique audience. I provide three to five posts every week for each of my clients on the four major platforms: Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
My clients encompass a variety of specialities, and I currently manage accounts that operate in the direct marketing, customer service, real estate, publishing, and human resources industries. I also manage the personal accounts for three high profile businessmen giving me the opportunity to present their lives in a way that will appeal to their colleagues, current clientele, and other professionals in the industry. The majority of my clients operate in the direct marketing industry, so I have had the exciting challenge of finding ways to help each of their brands stand apart.
The topics for each post range across a variety of different faculties with my selecting topics that will represent each business in a way that merits respect from their competitors, represents the positive brand image of their clients, and appeals to potential candidates so that they feel motivated to apply to the company. I develop a unique theme for each of my clients that is on brand with their company name and the color scheme that is used in the company logo and the website. Each theme is developed to match the three across grid style users see when they open an Instagram profile since it is on this platform that the grid is most prominent.
I also film and edit video content that is either relating to our client's owners or people in leadership roles informing the public about industry related topics, or that are fun and demonstrate their team culture. I am constantly researching trends on TikTok and recommending the best ones that can be tied into the day-to-day lives of our clients' team members, but are still fun and would resonate with the public. Since I manage accounts for our clients all across the continental USA, I can not always film for them, so I make sure to edit whatever raw footage they send from team nights or company events in a sleek and engaging way.
How It's Done
Everything from photo enhancement and editing to developing graphics for my clients' posts gets done in Adobe Photoshop. I use Canva as a resource for graphic elements since it often has higher quality graphics and a wider selection than other sites like Flaticon. I use CapCut to edit my videos for clients, and make use of trending CapCut templates that are popular on TikTok and that have a good chance of expanding our clients' reach based on the algorithm. I schedule all posts for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook using Loom.ly.
